Take Guadalajara Highway to LAZARO CARDENAS.
Head West on LAZARO CARDENAS to LOPEZ MATEOS.
Go right on LOPEZ MATEOS to MINERVA CIRCLE.
Do not take tunnel but stay right on parallel road.
Go around MINERVA CIRCLE past LOPEZ MATEOS and before VALLARTA
To GOLFO DE CORTES.
Go north on GOLFO DE CORTES and cross AVE. MEXICO and continue north until GOLFO DE CORTES becomes AZTECA.
Bear right onto AZTECA.
Go 2 blocks and around traffic circle halfway staying on
AZTECA.
Entrance on right to #1 Superama.

#1 SUPERAMA is a new, very clean upscale market run by Walmart with many hard to find specialty items at good prices. Examples: Panko-Japanese bread crumbs, various oriental items, cleaning supplies, a small but beautiful meat and fresh fish section and frozen lobster and stuffed crab.

Go right out of parking lot and continue north on AZTECA to first major intersection and go right on GRAL. EULOGIO PARA. Continue on this street approximately 5 or 6 blocks to RUBEN DARIO, Turn left and continue north 1 block to #761 on the corner of JOSE MARIA HEREDIA. EL TRIUFNO is a large three story building on the left hand corner of RUBEN DARIO.

#2 EL TRIUFNO is like a cross between Pier 1 and Big Lots. There are three floors of kitchen gadgets, all accessories for dining, candles, flowers, dishes, Christmas stuff, furniture and all kinds of crazy things from Buddha statues to Egyptian statues.

(2009 Note: The new Galerías el Triunfo store is on the southbound side of López Mateos, almost opposite Home Depot just before the Periférico. The store is much more organized and more room to move about than the one on Ruben Dario.)

From RUBIN DARIO go west one block to TERRANOVA. Go right on TERRANOVA and continue north (be in left lane to turn) to PABLO NERUDA.
Go left on PABLO NERUDA and continue to #3 ALADINO’S. Be in the left lane to turn into parking lot in front.

#3 ALADINO’s is another gourmet specialty shop with hard to find cleaning supplies, exotic spices and sauces:
Cranberry Horshradish, mandarin oranges, many Roland and Ortego products, The Spice Hunter spices, Kalamata and Nicose olives, etc. Smaller than Superama but well laid out and good prices.

Head back east on PABLO NERUDA three blocks to #4 EUROPEA. It is on the right corner of PABLO NERUDA and TERRANOVA. You passed it headed to Aladino’s. Turn right into the parking lot.

#4 EUROPEA is a very large, well stocked liquor and wine store with additional gourmet deli items. The prices are excellent and the selection is outstanding.

Head home – Go right on TERRANOVA (sign overhead says Providencia but it is TERRANOVA when you turn right) to AVE. MEXICO.
Turn left on AVE. MEXICO and continue to LAZARO CARDENAS.
Turn right and go to first turn around then head east on LAZARO CARDENAS to Chapala Highway.
You’re on your way home!
